Pitching companies’ profiles
Netpris – The Scandinavian grocery market is a 60 billion EUR market, which has not yet been digitalized and disrupted. Netpris is an online shop that provides the lowest prices on well-known grocery brands delivered directly to the consumer’s door. Danish company looking to expand in the Nordics.
Plantui – Cutting-edge plant science, light spectrum intelligence, and hi-tech bundled up into a beautifully designed consumer product – this is Plantui, a smart garden inspiring the growth market of urban indoor gardening.
Nimber – A matching platform for deliveries. They match people who need to send with those going that way anyway, creating a delivery solution that is convenient, cost effective and sustainable. Founded in Norway, this UK based company is looking to expand internationally.
Transfluent – An innovative translation service company. It has been growing 8% per month for the past 30 months and reached EBITDA profitability in 2016, changing the way businesses handle their translation needs. Biggest companies from Finland and around the world are already customers. Finnish company already internationalising and looking for more.
Medicortex – Accidents happen, but many brain injuries go undiagnosed. Medicortex Finland has developed a solution that gives a quick answer to whether or not a brain injury has occurred. Many who suffered a head injury in everyday situations or in sports were just advised to rest and avoid active play until the symptoms are resolved. In a more serious-looking case, imaging of the head by computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) may have been made later in the hospital. Still, the majority of the cases of mild traumatic brain injury and concussion remain undiagnosed due to the lack of appropriate diagnostic tools.
Lasse Mäkelä – CEO and co-founder of Invesdor Ltd, has more than 16 years of experience in finance, banking and building businesses. Beginning his career as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch in London, Lasse was involved in various capital raising initiatives, stock exchange listings and company mergers and acquisitions. He is passionate about capital raising and wants to make finance as easy as possible for everyone, while maintaining professionalism.
Sami Lampinen is the Co-Founder & Managing Partner of Inventure. Sami has 20 years of hands-on venture capital experience in building Nordic high-tech companies. With a wide network of serial entrepreneurs, industry experts and VC colleagues, Sami guides entrepreneurs every day in building international management teams and securing add-on funding across global markets. At Inventure, Sami leads the investments in Canatu, Freespee, Wirepas, KNL Networks, Mekitec and Upcloud.
